The solution to anyone’s healthcare frustrations is very obvious, just get out; if it’s too hot in the kitchen, GET OUT! Easier said than done when you enjoy the art of what you do, no matter what it is! That is absolutely the case for me; I love being a chiropractor; I loath the business of healthcare. AND, in this economy and given our worsening healthcare “crisis” I am very certain that I am not alone. In fact, I dare say that there might be many who feel the same way, but who will not admit it, yet! You see, I believe that each one of us has an internal setting on our “tolerance-o-meter” as to how much we can individually take before we boil over.
In order to understand what made me boil over please refer to my blog post dated April 13, 2009, “My Dilemma as a Chiropractor”. The main point of this post is my plan to operate a part-time, cash practice, where my fee does not create any financial barriers to care. This will allow me to introduce more people to the power of chiropractic care.
While this kind of practice can certainly provide a decent living, another dream is to create a residual income with the power of network/Internet marketing.
